I had every intention of posting updates on life after we did some traveling this spring, but life catches up to you and before you know it you are sitting at the edge of June/July and still haven't posted a THING.
Today I'll just give you a quick update on all of our adventures thus far because long drawn out stories of the past 4 months would literally become a novel.
Here we go:
In March Casey and I got to go on a little Schaefer family vacation to Puerto Rico! It was so beautiful and we had so much fun hanging out/relaxing with his side of the family. Here are all the beautiful sites we got to see!
We had so much fun zip lining, exploring San Juan, and cruising. Oh and did I mention I got FRIED…. I've never been so burnt in my life.
… more relaxing
So much fun with this sweet, good looking man and his awesome family!
This was all during spring break (because being a teacher… yes, I get spring break fo life! My sweet mom offered to take care of the fluffy bear during this time so I got to spend a few days in Dallas at the end of my spring break with her and my sister. :)
Went back to school to finish out the year. This year was so wonderful and I am so thankful for all my coworkers and amazing students for making this year great. It is always a challenge to adjust to new places, but I have felt so much love and encouragement this year that it made life more fun and just a little easier! :)
At the end of May my sister and I went up to Dallas for a girls weekend with my mom to celebrate Mother's day and her birthday!
We started off the day with a little Top Golf being that we are all EXCELLENT golfers… ha!
At least we had fun right?? BTW… I'm the best out of three. Just in case you were wondering.
After golf we spotted a TJ Maxx, so of course we did a little shopping before we headed back to the house to get cleaned up. Mom got to open some gifts and then we went to dinner!
Isn't she gorgeous?! Love this lady.
And of course.. you can't end the night without a little bundt cake!
At the end of May I got to celebrate my second anniversary with my sweet husband! We got to spend time reflecting on the past year and on the day we made a covenant to love each other for a lifetime. If I have learned anything, it is that I have been given a man well above what I deserve. His patience, forgiveness, and love shows me daily the love of Christ. I am so honored to be this mans wife. Here's to 2 years of marriage and many many more, my love.
This summer has been fun relaxing. I don't think I ever realize how much the year takes out of me until I get to summer. However, I am not a good "transitioner", if you will. I go from busy, busy, busy, to 5 hours of Friday Night Lights in one sitting. This is never ends well. It normally ends with me being a complete zombie and kind of cranky with a headache. So between travels in the summer time I clean, clean, organize, and run all kinds of errands that I never get to during the year!
However, I got a little break from all that fun just recently. Casey and I have spent the past couple of weeks in Tulsa, OK and of course Nashville, TN! I would love to tell you more about them now, but I think I'm gonna have to fill you in this weekend…. so not in 4 months.
See ya this weekend.
