Celebrate!

We have so much to celebrate and be thankful for!

To start off we began by celebrating our 6 month anniversary! Time has just flown by! We enjoyed a fun night out eating mexican food, carriage rides in Discovery Green, and exploring (getting lost) in the Galleria. It was so relaxing to get away and reflex on these past 6 months!

We began December by celebrating the birth of our 1 year old dog "child". From upset stomachs, swallowing socks,  potty training, behavior training, eating roofing nails, emergency surgeries, and dropping balls down main plumbing lines this has been quite a dramatic first year of her life. However, she has brought us more joy than we ever had thought. Couldn't imagine life without her.

Then finally ending December with Celebrating Christmas and the New Year with our families. This year we celebrated Christmas with the Schaefer's slightly early and we traveled to Dallas to spend Christmas day with the Holder side of the family.  It was cold, relaxing and wonderful.

Though it all, this season has been so different for the both of us in many big and small ways. Lots of new traditions to embrace and many to create. Its so much fun, but honestly its kind of strange. For 23 years of my life and 25 years of Casey's, things have been one way. We have our own traditions- waking up with your family, watching White Christmas, etc. Being a person of routine, these little changes seem big, which unfortunately makes me slightly anxious. However, the Lord was so faithful to me during this season giving me peace. He reminded me of His consistency. He is and always will be never-changing, almighty, merciful, life-giving, peaceful, and eternal. Always. This reminder was such a sweet gift during this crazy season/year of life we have had. Through the highs and the lows of life - no matter where we are - God will always be the great I AM. He will always be the one who saved my life from the pit though the sacrifice of His son Jesus. Jesus, who was born, lived a perfect life, died for my sins, conquered death, and now reigns forever. Praise the Lord for His constant love and mercy.

CELEBRATE FRIENDS… we have much to be thankful for.
