Family Time

Wow. It has been a while. As usual things pick up around the fall season, hence, lack of posts. However, I am here to make it up now with an update on our holidays!

If there was one way I could describe our holiday season I would say: full of family. Which of course is SO wonderful: to have time off, see loved ones, and have some excellent quality time here at the house with my amazing husband.

This year we got to spend Thanksgiving with my family in Dallas. Lots of fun, laughter, and good times with great people.

During Thanksgiving we got to celebrate my sister's birthday in which she got all kinds of fun stuff… including a self-gifted GoPro. We only had a little fun with the GoPro.

Also during this holiday season our little fur bear had herself a 2ND BIRTHDAY! What? That is just crazy. I cannot believe we have had her now for 2 years.. blows my mind. And of course we had to celebrate with a birthday cake, snuggles, and play time for the Piper Bear.

Speaking of Piper Bear - She loves this holiday season because… well.. why not? Mom and Dad are home to hang out, we get to travel…

(which only occasionally does she like)

we get to go on lots of runs…

snuggle….

hang out with some pretty awesome people..

and just enjoy Christmas..

Christmas, of course, included more hanging out with wonderful family… which includes Casey and I getting to hang out with this PRECIOUS cousin of ours. She was potentially the happiest baby I have ever met. During the hours we were there… she did not even fuss once. Not once people. Just smiles.. all. the. time.

Overall these holidays have been great. We have just treasured the time we have gotten to spend with each other and with family. How great it has been to have time off and reflect on this past year. The Lord has taught us so much about patience, peace, obedience, love, and how Jesus is enough… always. We are excited for what 2015 holds for the Schaefers!

Hope you had a wonderful holiday season as well! Have a happy New Year!
